Spicy Ginger prawns dry


  Hyderabad special dry  ginger prawns cooked with fresh herbs and ginger,a very good dish for cocktail parties.

Ingredients: 

Spicy Ginger prawns dry


Medium sized peeled and divined fresh prawns – 250gms
Ginger paste – 1 tea spoon
Turmeric – 1 teaspoon
Shajeera(caraway)-1/4 teaspoon
Pepper powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
Garam masala powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
Fresh coriander-1 bunch
Fresh mint leaves-1 bunch
Split Green chili – 3
Sliced Onions – 2 medium
Cooking oil – 2 table spoons
Salt – 1 teaspoon

Procedure:

  1.  Mix and Marinate prawns with salt, half of the  ginger paste ,turmeric powder for one hour.  
  2. In a small separate pan add small amount of cooking oil and stir fry marinated prawns until water gets evaporated approximately for 5 minutes, do not overcook prawns.
  3.  Heat oil in a medium sized pan and fry sliced onions until turn light brown.
  4.  Add remaining half of ginger paste to the onions.
  5.  Add chopped green chilies,fresh coriander,fresh mint leaves.

  1.      Add red chili powder, Garam masala powder, pepper powder and salt and cook for 5 minutes
  2.      Now add stir fried prawns to the onions 
  3.      Finally garnish with sliced fresh ginger,fresh coriander,juice of half a lemon  and serve hot.
