Chicken korma  is a rich creamy curry chicken cooked in coconut and melon seeds paste and spices.

Preparation time-20 minutes.
Cooking time -20minutes.
Servings- 4 to 5 .


Ingredients:


Fresh chicken -1kg.
Salt-2teaspoons.
Turmeric powder-1.5 teaspoons.
Ginger garlic paste-1.5 teaspoon.
Onions(finely cut)-4
Curry leaves-10 leaves.
Chilly Powder-1 table spoon.
Cinnamon stick(Dalchini)-1.
Cardamon(elachi)-2.
Clove(lavang)-3.
Shahjeera(Caraway seeds)-1/2 teaspoon.
Coriander powder-1 teaspoon.
Garam masala powder-1/2 teaspoon.
Curd-1/2 cup.
Water-1/2 cup.
Chopped coriander leaves-1 tablespoon.
Canola oil-1 tablespoon for cooking.

Melon seed roasted-1 table spoon.
Fresh coconut lightly roasted -1 table spoon.
Pepper corns-10.
Hyderabad's Chicken korma
Procedure:
Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste,salt,turmeric and leave it for 10 minutes.
Heat a deep cooking pan,add 1 tablespoon of canola oil,add caraway,Cinnamon stick,bay leaf,cardamom,cloves.
Now add finely cut onions,saute them till light golden brown.


Hyderabad's Chicken korma 
Add marinated chicken,1/2 teaspoon turmeric,chilly powder mix thoroughly and cover it with lid and cook for 10 minutes,mixing every 3 minutes in between.
Make paste of roasted melon seeds,pepper corns and coconut adding 1/2 cup of curd.
Add this to the chicken,add curry leaves half a cup of water.Cook for another 5 minutes.


Hyderabadi Chicken korma
Add coriander powder,garam masala powder,finely chopped coriander.Switch off the fire .Serve hot.
(Adjust salt if required)
